Canada-based Indonesian sibling duo The Macarons Project release their first original song 'Hold Us Tight'.

If you're in the market for something a little gentler, you've come to the right place.

Ree and Dito, the brother and sister duo better known as The Macarons Project, have just released the first-ever original song, despite being over thirty releases deep into their discography (which also boasts several million streams).

Avid followers of coffeehouse playlists on Spotify may well recognise The Macarons Project from their easygoing acoustic covers - more specifically, their ever-popular rendition of 'Fly Me to the Moon'.

It may well be an intimidating prospect to release an original song after such widespread success performing songs by other artists, but Ree and Dito don't seem phased. 'Hold Us Tight' is elegant, simple, and sure to appeal to their pre-existing fan base whilst reaching beyond the cosy world of covers.

This song is about being separated from loved ones and the hope that one day everyone will be together again. It is actually inspired by Dito’s own experience, having a long-distance relationship with his wife.

Sentimental, honest, and just the right amount of 'cool', The Macarons Project have hit a sweet spot for all Novo Amor, Haux, and Ingrid Michaelson fans worldwide.
