Portsmouth prodigy Harvey Jay Dodgson releases eclectic new single 'Caroline'.

The big brothers of the world have always been doing god's work; somehow, it's the older brother's record collection that gives rise to the younger sibling's career in music. It's the way it has always been, and the way it will always be.

Dodgson's brother can't take all the credit, though. After all, it was seven-year-old Harvey that chose to pick up the guitar, and nine-year-old Harvey that wrote his own first song. Now, at the age of 19, he's an old pro - tipped by BT TV as one to watch, and having played at the Isle of Wight festival this year, it might not be long before Harvey Jay Dodgson sees the UK Top 40.

Arctic Monkeys-style electric guitar sounds meet driving beats and perfectly formed lyrics in the new single 'Caroline'. Dodgson takes us to places we would never expect to go in an indie-rock song; a smooth change of tempo into the swung chorus gives the impression that his natural creativity and musicality is set a head and shoulders above that of other artists within his genre.

If you're a fan of Sam Fender, Johnny Marr, or The Black Keys, you'll love Harvey Jay Dodgson without a doubt. His debut EP is set for release in 2022, so be sure to keep an eye out for that!
