INTERVIEW WITH ILONALOWE
Listen below to our interview with ilonalowe, discussing her brand new single 'Once Again'
Alternative folk artist ilonalowe has today released her new single 'Once Again'. I sat down with her in our respective squeaky chairs to discuss the track, and introduce to you one of the most promising, timeless, and earnest singer-songwriters currently on the scene.
Starting this project in December with the release of her two-track EP 'Holy the Night', Marnie - the brain behind ilonalowe - leans into her natural introversion to craft deeply emotive, thought-provoking tales of reflection. In our interview, she discusses the subject matter of 'Once Again' - personifying the third party in a relationship that gets in the way of advancing as a pair, whether that third party be a person, or in ilonalowe's case, a state of mind.
Before you listen to our interview above, make sure to delve into this gorgeous track below. Flourishing and sweeping from verse to verse, Marnie's many tranquil voices layer to create a choral peacefulness, drifting along the back of intricate acoustic and sliding guitar decoration, delicately assembled by producer Joe Green.
Stay tuned for an upcoming visualiser to accompany 'Once Again', as well as another new release late next month. In the meantime, have a listen to this stirring track, and subsequently to the interview - our dulcet Spotify-complaining tones will keep you company until then.
